Piano Sampling

So... starting today, and over the next few days, I am sampling my upright piano from Virginia. I really just enjoy the slight busted sound it has, and wish to be able to take that with me wherever I go. Thus, I am trying to (keyword: trying, I have no experience or knowledge in this field whatsoever) meticulously multisample this sucker and at the same time create a pretty comprehensive set of creative percussion sounds from the piano. By the end of a few days I hope to have a playable "Busted Piano" sampleset, a playable "Abstract Piano Tones" sampleset, and a playable "Piano Percussion" sampleset. We'll see how it goes. After an hour of just toying with the idea today I threw together this little loop. Today was more of a test or pilot to learn from. I intend to go back through and more thoroughly sample everything in the days to come. For now enjoy this little video. All the sounds in the video came from the piano. The legitimate piano sounds are actually a rough sampleset that I had put together and played with a midi keyboard (again... just to test the idea).

Cheers!
